Hungarian Dominoes Game Rules

  • Hungarian Dominoes is an interesting variant from trains family of domino games. The game does not have a boneyard and it only allows for one train to be built.
  • At the start of each round, tiles are divided equally among the players so that there are 4 tiles left which are set aside and not used in the round.
  • In the first round, a player is selected by draw of lot to take the first turn. In subsequent rounds, first turn is passed clockwise to next player.
  • A player can play as many tiles as possible in the first turn. The next player can then add as many tiles to the two ends as poosible.
  • There is no spinner in the game so a double can only be played at two ends.
  • If a player can not play, then he/she passes turn to the next player.
  • The round ends when no player can play any tile to the train.
  • Players score pips count on remaining tiles in their hand after end of each round.
  • The game is over once any of the players scores 100 or more. The player with least score wins the game.
