Arab Partnership Dominoes Game Rules

  • Arab Partnership Dominoes is a 4-player game played in a fixed partnership using double-6 dominoes set. Players try to match two ends of the layout on their turn. The game is played much like the other partnership domino games except some variations as described below (Rules provided by Sultan Ratrout).
  • All tiles are dealt equally to four players; each getting 7 tiles at the beginning of each round.
  • The very first round is started/led by the player who gets [6-6]. In subsequent rounds players can start with any tile. Subsequent round is started by winner of the current round. If there is a tie and there is no winner then the player who started the current round will again start the next round.
  • There is no spinner in Partnership Dominoes game so a double can only be played at two ends.
  • Players take turn anti-clockwise to play a matching domino. If a player can not play, then he/she simply passes turn to the next player.
  • A player must play if a move is possible.
  • The round ends if a player has played all of his/her tiles. Round can also end if the game is blocked which means no tile can be played by any of the players.
  • Round is won by the team of first player who played all his/her tiles. Blocked rounds are won by the team with lower pip count.
  • Winning team scores total pip count of remaining dominoes in losing team's hands (ignoring their own pip count). If pip count for both teams are equal in a blocked game, no score is awarded to any team.
  • The game is played for multiple rounds and first team to score 100 or more points wins the game.
